Its good to invest in if you own car for long time.
Just make sure you spend extra to get whole bumber and beginning 30cm of the hood. If you travel on highway/autobahn everyday, I recommend getting the whole hood too. But It just gets very expensive very fast to cover everything. So make a decision about if you keep your current bumper or upgrade to e87 msport, 135i msport or Bmw performance. If that's what you want then do just hood and 20cm on fenders.

It will hide many defects too because it's shiny like Paint and that will blend

3m, lumar are good brands, ask for a brand with clear coat or a brand that will not yellow as fast(they all yellow over 6 years)
