OK spoke to the service guy at BMW and he said they removed the steering lock some time ago due to issues with the electrnic lock so not to worry.
As I mentioned before I decided to add springs (Eibach) at the same time I installed the camber plates. Unfortunately the drop in the front is much more than expected. Working with them to resolve the issue.
On a good note I am very happy with the feel of the camber plates. After taking apart the front and seeing what BMW uses for an upper bearing it was like night and day. Steering feels much better.
After resolve the drop issue I will post more.
