I generally do MDM on 1st gear ~2.5k rpm for quick consistency, only time I'll have MDM on.

My way: Dry tarmac : 1st gear 2000-2500rpm all systems off(no MDM) and M mode on/off I don't care
A really tiny tad of wheelspin is inevitable imo...just to keep the internals/parts from being really hurt.
