I agree with the "better at what" poster. Since your coworker's car lacks a man pedal, I'll throw it out completely. Had it been a manual however... I, personally, could have more fun with the gen coupe b/c it has a torsen LSD as opposed to the open diff in the 135 (blasphemy!). I drive a 1M and my buddy has a gen coupe r-spec 3.8. I've driven both many times at autox and on the street. I can honestly tell you the gen coupe is awesome. The chassis is very stiff, the brembo brakes are fantastic, the diff locks fast, etc. The things it doesn't do like a BMW: steering feel isn't great, clutch feel sucks, materials feel cheap, things like that. Performance bang for the buck though? gen coupe is tough to beat.

The 135 is a lot nicer car, but the gen coupe has it's place.
