^^ +1. The suspension parts are actually made by Felbi/Bilstein, a division of ZF Sachs group.

Everytime I drive past Schweinfurt(SW) and the ZF Sachs building I think of the fine engineering going on there. In SW is also where the famous "ball bearing factory" (called SkF) is located that the Allies bombed in WWII. To this day they are still finding unexploded bombs from WWII in Germany. In SW is also another famous company called: ***. They handle the hydraulic clutch lines/master and slave cylinders for most German cars.

And Miele is another German company that makes most of the BMW suspension bushings in (most)German cars. I do not know where there HQ is located though.
