The rear of my 128i vert is naked but that is because I like the look, not because I want to pretend I have a 135i. I have the sport package so I have the shadowline trim. I don't like the chrome numbers on my alpine white vert. I thought about getting black numbers but decided naked was best. I also have a plain black frame around my license plate for a similar reason. I put mud flaps on (black) partially for the appearance and I changed the kidneys to matte black. I just think black and white is enough, I do not need chrome too.

Naked also saves a few minutes when waxing. I found "goo gone" (got it at Walmart) to be very helpful in getting of the residual from the stick on tape they used to attach the numbers. I also used goo gone to remove the silly legal message on the sun visors (inside the car). Simple, black and white, no chrome.
