As someone else said, what's the point of getting a performance car if you're going to be a fuel miser. I average about 11.4-11.8L/100km every tank. If i feel like shooting off from the lights, i shoot off. And I almost always feel like shooting off
I love 2nd gear, the pull through to 5K is glorious (without belting it to redline), same with 3rd. I bought the car to drive the car. I don't buy a 300HP car and drive it like a Barina. Of course, this means that I usually hit the speed limit very, very quickly and then just let my foot off the throttle and save some fuel coasting along in top gear using 0.0L/100 on my instantaneous fuel read out.
To counter my lead footedness, i do leave it in a high gear when coming to the lights/stop and let it coast in gear. Though if it's only a corner, then i'm blipping the throttle whilst down gearing ready to shoot out the other side. I just love driving my car. Fuel be damned.
