I have no regrets with the 128i. I tried a 135 and could not realisticly find any need for more than 4k rpms. I find it more entertaining to drive a slower car fast than a faster car slowly. With the 128i I can use all of the engine. However i did want the 135 suspension so I got the sport package with the 128i. That said, between my wife and I we also have a 2007 Z4 also with the sport suspension that is great on a track. The 128i is fine on a track but the Z4 is better.
