I think what the hoopla is about is that you got the lenses OPEN!!! Heretofore, everybody and their mothers on this an other boards swore it couldn't be done without destroying them, and subsequently, more people than one can reasonably count were eagerly awaiting some word as to whether or not somebody managed JUST to get them open without destroying them...which you claim you did. Afterwards, somebody would surely follow up with an appropriate measure for getting them back together (addressing the condesation concerns) if you or anybody else who'd managed to open them didn't otherwise provide a timely "closer." It would have been just as easy to say so...thereby prompting others to either wait, or try it themselves. Coming into the conversation after the fact, and attacking somebody personally didn't accomplish anything. Any reasonable person would have reacted like longtran did. Just my .02.
So, pete....was your method any different? If so, I for one would be interested in the method you used.
