I just did the CDV delete this afternoon - I had the car up on Jack stands to adjust my handbrake, so while I was at it, jacked up the front as well...
Getting the plastic panel off and back on took way longer than removing the CDV. Just used my thumb over the hose, didn't get a single drip other than a tiny bit of brake fluid on my thumb. One gentle press on the pedal and tightened the bleed valve and that was it.
