I just bought my Certified AW 135i on Monday and drove it 1,500 miles back to Massachusetts. Needless to say it was one of the best two days of my life, such an incredible machine these things are. I just can't get over it and ended up stopping every 150 miles of the trip to get out and just stare at it, hahah.

Nonetheless, there are some really glaring issues that I'm surprised exist on a "CPO" car. An hour after I drove off the lot I noticed that the brakes squeal really badly and the steering wheel isn't straight but instead is angled left slightly, along with a subtle pull to the left on the highway. That wasn't fun for my left arm after 24 hours in the car going up the coast.

The brakes I chalked up to the car sitting for a while not being driven, but it just got worse and worse the whole trip, and now it's so loud at times that it's really embarrassing coming to a stop. Ear piercing if you have the windows down. I took a look at the brakes and the rears are fine, but the fronts don't look like they have a lot of pad life left and the rotors have a pretty substantial lip on them.

My question is, what does the factory warranty cover? I rolled off the lot with 25,000 miles(now have around 27,300 after the trip) and I'm sort of appalled that the brakes are in this condition. Is it as simple as rolling in and they'll fix this? My previous car was a 2006 Audi A3 2.0T which I bought in 2008, not CPO'ed and with only 22k on the clock and they had fitted it with brand new pads and rotors all around before sale, I expected the same from BMW!


That aside though, the car is freaking incredible. This was the first picture I snapped after I pulled away from the dealer. Yeah yeah, instagram sucks blah blah.
