I'm 5'10'' and sat in the back of a 1M from San Diego to Anaheim and back (90 miles each way). It didn't bother me. But I'm used to coupes.
For a lot of people they will have trouble getting in and out of the back seat. This is a small two door car. Is this an occasional need for someone to get in and out of the back or every few weeks?
Also, go drive a 1 series coupe if it is around. Check out the back seat. They are the same.
