Another thing that helps in my cars is using rain repellant on the windshield. I used to apply Rain-X which is a bit of work. Now I just use glass cleaner with rain repellant in it. Sometimes I put in washer fluid with repellant. Rain-X works a bit better than the other application methods but with any of them the rain beads up like water on waxed paint. That makes the wipers work better and also makes me less sensitive to the wiper speed. Might be someting to try for those of you that are dissatisfied.
