Ordered mine in October 2011. Kinda by surprise actually. I originally went to the BMW dealer to test drive a Mini JCW. After the test drive I saw a big M3 poster on the wall and said " I would prefer that one or even better, a 1M if it wasn't sold out" The sales lady smiled and kindly replied " ooh you can still order the 1M"
Long story short. I went home, did some calculations, had a look at the available options and ordered it the next day. I ordered it as a white one but a few months before the delivery was planned, I changed it to VO. No regrets there :-).
Mine is built in Juin and was ready for delivery in July.
If I didn't make that remark on the poster, I would be in the MINI section of this forum not knowing I could be owning my dream car because it truly is a dream come true !!
