I am big into German made HO model trains, which I order direct from Germany. I deal with three different hobby shops on a regular basis and all three
exclude VAT on the final price. Not sure if they are supposed to do that though.
I have done this for years now and have yet to pay VAT. In fact, the invoices show VAT excluded from the final price.
