I personally think that would be over kill. But some guys did go thru that when the 1M's came in for their first service. Why does your dealer keep fighting you? I would just go to another dealer, have the fluid changed to the correct MTF-LT-5 and send them the bill. But that's me. Maybe take their temperature and see what they say.

Did your dealer use the SAF-XJ+FM gear fluid in the diff ? That's the correct fluid as well.
