I just got a 2011 328i hardtop convertible as a loaner. The car is gonna be different from the 1er no doubt. Like people have said previously, I personally wouldn't want a better car or feel like a deserve a better car as a loaner unless I was looking to buy that car. I like the feeling of getting my own car back and how I enjoy it more than the loaner by far.
That being said, I am enjoying the convertible aspect and the crazy hardtop aspect of it (never been in a hardtop). Either way, I have driven every 3 series model, couple of 5 series models, and some x models as loaners in the past. All have their ups and downs and have allowed me to experience an array of BMW's lineup.
Still love my 1er though.
