Thanks for the info.
So probably BMW considers that the last produced 1M rolling out of the Leipzig plant a couple of days ago was the final curtain call for the 1M Project.

True that the 1M market is certainly a limited one, but BMW should reasonably know that - given the tremendous success of the 1M as regards enthusiasm and sales - it would be a sure-fire hit to commercialize a 1M Performance Exhaust (conceived and produced by a reputable exhaust manufacturer who is authorized to laser the ///M logo on the exhaust tips).
According to the (hollow?) marketing baseline
"M is the strongest letter in the world". However, regarding the 1M exhaust,
"M" rather seems to stand for "
Muffled"...
