The problem is you are talking about
three separate companies; BMW NA, BMW AG and //M GmbH. BMW AG tasks //M with a project... they build it. Then AG figures out all the logistics and produces the car. Then BMW NA sells what ever AG sends over here to the states. NA has some input for "orders", but their role is more of selling what ever the "product" (is) rather than having any real input for end product.
