I'm not sure if this is best for track use, where the thermostat would be fully open anyway due to 120+ temps when you're on it. Here the temps are just governed by the efficiency of the cooler.
It'd be more suitable for longer stints on the hwy or around town. My oil temps sit around 109/110 under these conditions. As my OEM thermostat doesn't open until ~109 degrees there's little chance for my oil to get any cooler at the moment but it would with the thermostat removed. What we need is a replacement, lower temp or adjustable thermostat.
