I followed your advise and it's night and day difference. I used a synthetic wax designed for pulling cables through interior walls. Home Depot.

OP: Did you have this issue on the driver pillar too? I'm wondering if I should go back and do the driver side too. This totally fixed my issue.
I didn't have much noise from the drivers side, but I did it also before it started. But now I have something from the rear passenger side trim somewhere.... everytime I drive off, it creaks, then when I come to a stop, it goes back. something's moving with the weight of the car. .. argg... lucky this thing is amazing to drive.
