Ok thats good to know. Bentley says the E46 engines have a capacity of 8.4L. Now, using 2 US gallons of antifreeze is 7.56 L and that seems a bit too much. Half of 8.2L is 4.1 so would seem we need just a bit more than 1 US gallon.
