Sorry to disagree. Again it may not work all the time but it does work sometimes. I am on a first name basis with 1 State Senator and 2 State House members and I know for a fact they do listen.
Granted, all politicians will listen only as far as their base beliefs and political persuasion will allow. But if they are undecided or neutral on an issue then phone calls and letters (emails) do have an influence.
Obviously you will never talk a pro-choicer into being a pro-lifer with a stinking phone call. But if enough people bend their collective ears against "the machines" giving out tickets it has a chance of working.
Please call and get involved. And if your Rep. votes FOR this and similar items, then help out that persons opponent the next time the culprt is up for reelection!

You will not talk Terry Link (D) out of this of course as he is the bill's sponsor, BUT, call/write the members of the committee and we might get somewhere. If it's killed in committee it would be great.

Don't just call the Republicans either, call them all. It's not always a party line vote on stuff like this.
