No it wasnt. You would see some sort of wear on the spring adjuster. I had a set of RCE TarmacII on my STI (Rebranded KWV3s) and i had the FL wheel rub on the spring adjuster. It was very obvious very quickly with both a rubbing sound and a smell of burning plastic.

I responded in your thread previously and my opinion hasnt changed. Your tires are well worn and a long stint with a bad toe/camber combination will surely lead to the tread chunking like that.

Also, there is absolutely no reason an ET38 8.5" wide wheel should rub inboard on our cars.

You dont need any spacer.
