Just keep it stock with blank rotors... If you drive it hard, sure go with EBC yellows and if you want looks you can get those funny rotors with marketing holes to make your pads wear faster. .

Sounds like you should try new fluid or at least bleed the lines to make sure there are no air bubbles in all seriousness first.
