- I would change pads at the same time
- iDrive calculates brake pad life based on fuel consumption, not very accurate, therefore highly likely your pads have less, or more than 40,000km of life
- The sensors are 'activated' when the pad life wears down and the sensors touch the rotors. If it hasn't done this yet, you dont need new sensors, you can just reset the life of them in iDrive or through the MF stalk. Correct in that there is only one sensor per axle
- Being a weekender is irrelevant to whether you need performance pads or brakes.
