If you like to do a quick take off, like at the lights etc, I dont think the DCT will be any good as you need to set it to use launch control first which can be a bit of a chore. The car also needs to be fully warmed up for this too.
With a manual you can easily slip the clutch a little or traditional step auto quickly brake boost. I am not talking full drag strip launches by the way.
