Rick, I have stayed at Motel-One in Garching. Its brand new hotel and very modern and clean. Even has a nice park garage. Single rooms are 59 euros and doubles 69 euros. They have free WLAN in the lobby and a U-Bahn stop just behind the hotel. One added perk it that its just down the street from //M GmbH HQ!
This hotel is nothing fancy but its new/clean and a decent place to stay. Next door is also an ETAP and IBIS hotel as well.
