R1Rs run larger than most tires. Hankooks are oriented at the everyday driver, so they are not super wide. Most would consider them true/on the narrower side. PSS run wider than the Hankooks.
I think if you went with the Hankooks in a 225/40/18 front and 245/35/18 rear you would be okay. 255s might be doable though since you rolled your quarters.
