If the customs value (ie: price of goods you paid in AUD and any other extras excluding shipping) is under one thousand you do not pay duty or GST.

However be aware you may be forced to pay a brokerage fee for a shipping broker who receives the items in Australia.

Best to confirm door to door shipment with your vendor so you won't get stung with a broker. Be absolutely certain it is door to door.
