Boost, I just hook the adjustable strap into the spare. I think it's hooked through the center hole and then into a lug nut hole? It seems very secure, the net really doesn't do anything to hold my spare now that I've went to this strap.
I'm pretty sure the front hooks hooked as I have them would easily still allow the rear seats to be closed. Actually I'd think it would work great and pretty solidly secure the hooks.
