Yep, they just pop on/off. You'll have to use a glass puller tool with a suction cup in the middle if you want to be safe about it.

There are replacement mirrors for the heated (but not auto dimming) versions on ebay which work very well. There's a couple of threads about this already.

I replaced mine which also had the auto dimming and they look great. They don't heat or dim anymore but it looks a lot better than the burnt mark. It also throws a shadow code on the ecu about the mirrors being disconnected, but I'd rather have that than pay 500 bucks in stupid mirrors to fix an aesthetic defect.

also, the mirror burning is not covered under any extended warranty.
