I have amber or pretty close and used regular Halogen bulbs, couldn't be happier. The outer halo is slightly weaker but still looks good imo. I get compliments all the time.

Just wondering but what bulbs are those. They appear to be more of a yellow color vs. amber. Yellow bulbs are more of a 2000 - 2500K color while amber LED are are a specic wavelength around 680nm. Here is an example of what Amber LED bulbs could look like as a comparison :
