Oh, duh. Sorry, reading comprehension sucks sometimes.
The 256 was the standard wheel on the 128i Coupe (non-Sport/non-M-Sport). I couldn't find a 2008 brochure, but in 2009 the standard (non-Sport/non-M-Sport) 135i Convertible wheel was a 17", non-staggered set called Style 142 (the same as the no-cost option on the 135i Coupe I was talking about above).
I can never find a 2009 Convertible brochure, so maybe things were different in the first year of production. Or maybe it's a case of mistaken identity - the wheels are pretty similarly designed 5-spokes (
sternspeiche or "star spokes," in BMW-speak).
