The VIN list clearly shows 17" Wheels and M-Sport suspension.
It is entirely possible that the dealer in Des Moines ordered 17" wheels when it was delivered mid 2008, but i am not sure. As interesting as that might be, it is even curiouser that the entire Stage 3 Dinan package and exhasut and CF intake were installed (by Eberhard BMW in Michigan, I think), but they left the 17" wheels on it.
The only think I can think of is that the owner who had that done intended to track it. There are holes in the ownership history of the car that i cannot fill.
I just know the car is great fun and I loved it with the 17" wheels, but it is better with non RFTs and the 313s.
