I understand the argument of the 335 replacing the 330 so logically the price would remain close.

But this is not simply a power increase. Forget the 75 hp increase over 330ci or even the 45 hp increase over the e90, its the 300 lb ft of torque at 1450 rmps that is huge. Is there even a V8 that can do that? IMO this engine is more powerful then the current M3, and comparisons have even been made by BMW.

When was the last time a non-M 3 series dominated its competitors in straight line performance? When was any 3 series a touqe monster like this? BMW always beat the competition being down on hp and torque, but making up for it in other ways. Now it will simply dominate.

Pricing is a wierd thing. What is so great about the 6 series that it starts at $71,800? Its a bigger version of a fully loaded 335 coupe with and extra 60 hp and 60 ft lbs of torque and active suspension.
