I got told by Steven at Hassel BMW
"The shop forman says that theyve failed, but they havent failed enough to constitute a replacement. Thats not say that they wont fail, they might in a month or two, but they havent failed yet"
I have to pick up the car tomorrow morning - but theyre getting the car back with a letter that clearly states that I hold BMW responsible for any damage incurred by a turbo failure with this car.
I know exactly what theyre trying to pull, my car has 78K miles, theyre trying to keep me out until I pass 82 that way its on my dime.
Of course this happens a month after the former shop foreman at Hassel (a friend of mine) left BMW for another manufacturer...
Time to start calling other dealers
