Got my winter setup mounted...
... and then went out on a little test drive to break them in:
As y'all can see, I got the 18" M3 wheels and put on the Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3Ds in 235/40 front and 255/40 rear. While I think the rims look GREAT on my BSM (and I'm thinking about having my std 19s powder coated anthracite) the tires are so-so in the cold/dry. LOTS of tread flex and I can tell that I've got a smaller contact patch in the rear (so I guess the tread flex won't last all THAT long
)
Of course, on the way home I ran into a small BOULDER...
(Not sure if you can see from the pic but it friggin DENTED the hood FFS!)
Anyway, I'm not TOO pissed off about it since my 1M is a daily driver and this kind of crap is impossible to control (within reason at least
) I can take small comfort in the fact that a clear bra would not have helped much on this one
