The M3 bit would be far cheaper if we could find a source for the "rough road" package mentioned above. The BMW TIS page shown on the link specifically mentions the E82/88, so the mount for the strut brace must exist as a stock part somewhere. All the other stuff is inexpensive and readily available. I think that a certain vendor has actually found a source for the rough road stuff as the strut tower brace rings they supplied don't even have the little indents for mounting and positioning the ///M badges.
Historically, the rough road package is for cars bound for South Africa. That is where all the OE E46 shock tower reinforcements come from.

Here it is pictured on RealOEM. I suspect a little more research or a trip to a friendly dealer could sort this.
