Another benefit of the MHD set-up is that the core software is free, then you purchase the bit you want- logging and flash tuning are separate modules. This means you can just get the logging for now and see your engines current status with stock intercooler. Then, when you install the new IC you'll be able to quantify the results. Later, when you're ready, you can get the tune package that you want, or custom tune if desired (or both) and again be able to log and track results.
Main point is, if you're tracking, having the ability to log your track sessions, along with the extra gauges for things like coolant temp, is invaluable.
