If the N55 is so great why is not been used in the new 1 M Coupe.
BMW knows the potential of the N54 and that's why they are leaving N54 as the higher power option for the best in their class (335is and 1M).

Lol you answered your own question, bmw knows the potential of the n54 hence why they went with it. The n55 has only been around a year and with the time frame of the 1m it didn't leave a big enough window to get it done.
The n55 is already nearing 400hp with 14lbs of boost and pump gas. Only time will tell its full potential.
