I do not believe our cars even HAVE a coolant thermostat. BMW uses an electric water pump that is controled by software. Isn't this also one of the reasons why BMW chose not to put a coolant gauge in our cars! We do have an oil thremstat - but no coolant thermostat.
So... I don't think this mod would apply to our cars.
