Just an interesting data point while waiting for the car. Based on previous conversations with my SA the car has been sitting at Bremerhaven for about a week and a half with an OC status of
Production Ends. Today the OC the status changed to
En Route to the U.S. Which is all very interesting because the next NYK Line ship on their
Round the World route is the Jinsei Maru which isn't scheduled to dock in Bremerhaven for two more days. Marinetraffic.com shows the ship traveling East through the English Channel at 16 knots about 400 nm from Bremerhaven. I called my SA and he confirmed that the car is on the Jinsei Maru.
