That is the reason for the new delivery date of Wednesday. He said he can deal with it.
That gap is a shadow. The installer mentioned several times at how impressed he was with how well everything fit together and bolted right up. I said that they are all BMW OEM parts so I would hope so.
Fenders & bumper are in place but still have to go through final fitting and proper gapping (or whatever that final adjustment process is called) to the doors, etc.
