How do you know you need your valves cleaned?
I have a buddy with an RS4, what he noticed was a slight lack of power and poor thottle response. I think in extreme cases you will have a rough idle too. My friend took apart his intake manifold and scraped the carbon off. He used SeaFoam to spray down the CB twice a day and let it soak into the valve buildup. Then he could scrape the softened CB off.
