So after waiting about a week after Alex@Alpine's group buy ended, I've received my Alpine HID V3s 8000K on my 2008 128i!
I've worked together with jsidhu (he has a 2012 AW BMW 135i) to install and it was relatively easy after watching Alex's instructional video. I would say the 'hardest' part was fitting the bulb into the headlight case. The hubcaps were relatively easy to snap on. It took around 1.5 hours for novices like us! Before jsidhu reached out to me to help install, I had called a few dealerships around the South Bay and they quoted me for 2.5 hours at $125/hr. Ridiculous!
