Any of the DC Metro 1ers planning on a winter tire setup?

I've only lived here a few years, I know winters are really mild, but when it does snow, all hell breaks loose. I generally carpool to work with my wife so we can take her VW, or Metro in.

Do you guys think it's worth the few random snow falls? Added security, save wear on the summer rubber and rims?
