I would say a 32% failure rate is catatrophic for any modern automobile. And that's only from those within this forum that are reporting. And that's only ... so far. These things may never stop blowing, at 30k, 50k, 100k mi., no one knows. It means if I'm tooling around in the Blue Ridge Mountains in my 135i I've got a 1 in 3 chance of ending up broken down by the side of the road in "deliverance" country .. hmm

This is certainly disappointing and frustrating. There's no doubt of all the cars I've spent too much time test driving this summer, the 135i was by far the most fun.
