Why wait until you replace the RFTs? The compressor & Dynaplug are cheap enough that I carry them even with the run-flats - principle being that in case of a puncture, I can repair (or at least re-inflate) the offending tire enough to prevent tire damage.

With all of the (non RFT) flats I've had over the past ten years, the tire never completely deflated (no blowouts, luckily), and I've been able to make it to a gas station with an air pump facility - now I don't worry about even that.
