2009 135i at 64K miles with original water pump - When can I expect it to die?
I am 90% sure it is original at least. I am not the original owner, but the records I have don't mention anything about it ever being replaced.
Is the water pump dying usually more time-based or mileage based? The majority of my driving is inner city urban mileage so I don't rack up a lot of mileage each year. I really don't want to spend the money to pre-emptively replace it though, it is not cheap, but I do wonder how screwed I would be if it died on a long trip...
